There are thousands of food banks across the nation. Most likely, there are a dozen or so in your local area.

If you’re low on cash with bills piling up and a low food reserve at home, go to the local food banks in your area. They will provide you with a week or two of food while saving you a bunch of money.

You should also apply for food stamps. Click here to find out how to get food stamps.

We have compiled a list of food banks for the top 20 cities in the US. Below is that list. We understand that the need is great in other cities as well, but given our limited resources we were not able to compile a full list of food banks for those cities yet. We are working on the next 30 most populated cities as we speak, so please check back frequently.

Click on the city in which you live (or are nearest to) to find a comprehensive listing of food banks in your area.
